About – Loft Publications | Beautiful Coffee Table Books on Architecture, Design & Lifestyle

A LOFT STORY

Founded in 1996 by Paco Asensio in Barcelona, Loft Publications was born out of a deep family tradition of publishing. Inspired by his heritage, Paco began this journey with a focus on architecture, laying the foundation for what would become a lasting love story with the art of bookmaking. Since its inception, every title, every book, and every page has been crafted with care—nurtured like any great love story, full of highs and lows but always guided by a commitment to excellence and passion for creating art.

At the heart of Loft Publications lies a dedicated team of editors and a creative design studio that transforms content into beautiful, tactile books. We aim to make each book not only a celebration of its subject—architecture, interior design, lifestyle, or creativity—but also a piece of interior design itself, adding a touch of beauty to any space. In a world increasingly dominated by digital experiences, we hold fast to the essence of physicality, offering books that engage the senses and remind us of the power of touch and permanence.

Like many in the publishing world, we have faced challenges in an era where the virtual seemed poised to take over. Yet, through perseverance and dedication, we have proven that books are immortal. Our mission remains steadfast: to continue creating works of art that endure the test of time.

Looking to the future, Loft Publications envisions a world where every book becomes even more special—crafted with finer details, superior materials, richer content, and a more striking visual presence. Our dream is to elevate Loft into a globally recognized brand, one that continues publishing timeless works in this ongoing love story.
